Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette
Hello again lovelies!
So with some of the money I got for Christmas I decided that I NEEDED this palette in my life, so I went ahead and treated myself to the new Urban Decay Gwen Stefani eye shadow palette and i'm actually in love with it! For me buying a new palette is definitely a treat and I like to look into palettes and any other makeup that isn't your average drugstore makeup as I feel like its a lot of money to spend on makeup and i'll only buy it if I feel like I will firstly get lots of use out of it and secondly if I feel i'd actually be gutted if I didn't get it and it was discontinued.
So firstly the packaging is just gorgeous, the black white and gold colour scheme to me always looks so classic. The packaging is undeniably beautiful, even down to little details such as the quote 'magic's in the makeup' on the mirror inside. I think this palette is quite a nice small size which is perfect as I hate carrying around massive makeup palettes with me.
This palette has some lovely neutral shades along with some pretty eye catching ones as well. This palette has a good selection of matte, iridescent, satin and shimmer shadows that you can create a lot of very different looks with. My personal favourite shades are 'Baby' , 'Anaheim' and 'Punk'. It's well known that urban decay shadows are very pigmented high quality eye shadows so obviously the pigmentation in this palette is great and the shadows are very easy to work with. The slight negative with this palette is that I think the Colour 'Pop' is a bit too chunky glittery and creates quite a bit of fall out, which isn't great but i'd just suggest doing your eye shadow before your base if you're planning on using that colour! Other than that this palette has well and truly impressed me, I can see myself using this sooo much and it becoming my new favourite palette. Below are some swatches of the colours..
Starting with the top row from left to right: 'Blonde', 'Bathwater' , 'Skimp' , 'Steady' , 'Punk'
Middle row from left to right: 'Baby' , 'Anaheim' , 'Stark' , 'Zone' , 'Serious'
Bottom row from left to right: 'Pop' , 'Harajuku' , 'Danger' , '1987' , 'Blackout'
Let me know what you guys think of this palette and any colour combos that you tried out and liked! Let me know if you'd like me to post a few different looks using this palette! Also let me know what beauty treats you've received/ got yourself recently!
