My Everyday Makeup

Hey guys,
I haven't posted anything for a while now just because I've been so busy with work lately so I thought to get back into posting more regularly I would start with a post on my everyday makeup. I do tend to switch up my makeup from day to day but this is the look I wear the most often. Its nothing too dramatic its a pretty  neutral look.

Before applying any makeup I moisturize. I recently got this Dove Essential Nourishment Body Lotion and not only is it a HUGE bottle that will last me ages but it also makes my skin feel so nice and refreshed. I was expecting this moisturizer to be quite thick and to take ages to sink into the skin but it is not at all so it is perfect for me to use before applying my makeup.

Lately I've changed up my highlighting and contouring routine and started using my bronzing stick from The Body Shop (could not find it online to put a link in for you guys sorry!) and also SEVENTEEN Skin Wow Primer/Highlighter. I firstly apply the bronzing stick under my cheekbones, on the side of the forehead, around the hairline and on the jaw line. I then use my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to blend it all in. I then take the highlighter and apply this on the tops of my cheekbones, on the brow bone, the inner corner of my eye, the bridge of my nose, middle of my forehead and on my cupids bow. I then take the same sponge and blend it all in. I started to contour before putting on any foundation/concealer as I feel it looks much more natural and doesn't feel as caked on.

I then apply my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel foundation. I dot it onto my face and neck and then blend it all in with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush which comes as part of the Real Techniques Core Collection. This foundation is my favourite foundation and I have gone through it so many times and always re-purchase it.

I then took the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer and applied this under my eyes, the sides of my nose and on my chin. I then take my Real Techniques sponge to blend that in. I've saw a lot of people rave about this concealer so I had to get it to check it out myself and I've got to say after using it for a bit I've decided i'm not a huge fan of it, don't get me wrong it does the job and covers anything you want covered up.. it just feels too thick on my skin and i'm not really into thick foundation/concealers.

I then take an angled brush and my Fashionista Brow Kit and fill in my brows. Lately I've been using the shadows wet to apply to my brows, I feel like I can get the edges to look much sharper when I do them like this and also they stay on much better throughout the day as well.

I then take a bit of the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer and apply this to under my cheekbones and slightly onto the tops of the cheeks and also around the hairline.

I then applied some of the E.L.F Blush in tickled pink to my cheeks to put a bit of colour back into my face. This blusher has got to be my favourite blush, It's such a pretty colour and is very subtle.

I used both the MUA Smokin Palette and the Urban Decay Naked Palette.

I used  the shade Glory from the Smokin Palette and applied this all over the lid and up to the brow bone.

I used the shade Boudoir from the Smokin Palette to blend all the other shadows together so there were no harsh lines.

I took the shade Fantasy from the Smokin Palette on the outer corner of my eyelid and at the base near my lashes.

I used the shade Naked from the Naked Palette and applied this in the crease and blended it up slightly.

I used the shade Buck From the Naked Palette in the crease.

I used Maybelline Colossal Mascara which used to be one of my favourite mascaras and I've recently re-discovered it. I applied a couple of coats of this to my top and bottom lashes.

On a day to day basis I go with a nude/pink lip. I started off by applying some Carmex Lip Balm to my lips to make sure they are not too dry or chapped. I then lined my lips and filled them in with the Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lipliner and put some of my Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Afternoon Tea over the top.

So that's pretty much my everyday makeup routine, also you might notice that I got my hair cut and now have a fringe. I fancied a change and was getting really bored with my hair. I hope you enjoyed this post and I am going to try and post a lot more often.
